Dr. Novak founded Bushnell Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in 2005.

Although born in Texas, Dr. Novak primarily grew up in Indiana where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from Purdue University.  As an engineer, Dr. Novak worked in the nuclear power industry for over 10 years and obtained licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.

After working as an engineer, Dr. Novak attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry and graduated with the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Upon graduation, Dr. Novak worked at a large, high technology dental practice in Hernando County, Florida. Five years later, he decided to start a practice of his own and founded Bushnell Family & Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Novak has earned Fellowship status with both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). Additionally, Dr. Novak is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Novak has completed special training at the E4D University in Dallas, Texas and at Glidewell Laboratories in Irvine, California for all porcelain restorations (crowns, onlays, etc.).

In 2012, Dr. Novak received Recognition of Exceptional Dental Public Health Services by the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners for Bushnell Family & Cosmetic Dentistry's efforts in providing free dental care to needy children as part of the American Dental Association's "Give Kids A Smile" program. Dr. Novak is a past President of the Spring Hill, Florida Kiwanis Club. For more than 2 years, Dr. Novak served as the host of Leesburg's 790 AM radio program "The Tooth, The Whole Tooth, And Nothing But The Tooth". The show was heard on the radio every Saturday morning and provided useful dental and oral health information presented in an entertaining manner.

Dr. Novak and his wife reside in Bushnell. When not working, Dr. Novak and his wife enjoy traveling, the beach, hiking, most outdoor activities and tending to their pets.
