James Park, DMD - General Dentist (FL License #DN21873)
Dr. Park was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Florida in 2006. He finished his bachelor's degree in biochemistry at the University of Florida and then moved to Boston to continue his journey in dentistry. He graduated at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2016 (known as one of the best dental schools in the states).
After graduation, Dr. Park taught dental students as a faculty member of Tufts Dental Externship Site in Tampa. He believes teaching is another way of learning. In addition, he received additional trainings on full mouth rehabilitation, functional occlusion, implant placement, perio surgery such as horizontal ridge augmentation, crown-lengthening, tori removal and wisdom teeth extractions. He joined the Bushnell practice in 2020 and has been working with Dr.Novak, a great mentor. Dr. Park believes a dentist should learn until the last day of practicing. In May 2023, Dr. Park completed TMD(Temporomandibular Disorder) and Orofacial pain mini-residency (1 year course) at Tufts Dental School so he can treat patients with misaligned mandible and jaw/ear pain.
Dr. Park and his dental assistants, Kelley and Burgundy would like to see patients who have severe dental anxiety and challenge them to change their impression of dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Park spends time traveling, playing the piano and doing outdoor activities. His goal is to travel to Europe over the next few years.
